The LG Ericsson iPECS SBG1000 phone system is a great little phone system for your small office.  This system works with the range of IP handsets and offers almost all of the functionality of the larger models of LG systems.  Not only that but this system is like a mini router for your business meaning it has some very smart technology in the box to work closely with your IT network, making it a fantastic choice for small business.

The system was intentionally limited to be a small business solution, allowing them to offer this entry level system at a low price aimed at your small office.

What will amaze you is that it has a range of features including wireless desk phones (yes wireless), special cordless phones which work specifically on this phone system with great features and this system is being continually improved and upgraded with new software.

The system is expandable up to 24 users. 

 

 

Is this a VOIP system or can i connect Telstra lines?

The system is fully VOIP/SIP capable.  This means that it will be able to use the latest in technology for voice over ip and SIP and will be even better with an NBN connection to be able to support even more speed and bandwidth.  Many users stick with the traditional Telstra style lines.  The system will support up to 4 traditional phone lines.

Another popular choice is to use a VOIP provider such as ENGIN (we can provision all of this for you) to use cheap outgoing lines which offer advantages such as free calls to local/national/mobiles for a fixed monthly fee.

 

How many phones can i connect and can i add more?

The system is upgradable and able to support up to 48 users.  The great part of these systems is that out of the box you can have 8 phones which is ideal for your small business.  If you outgrow this, then we can add an expansion card into the system to give you another 8 and so on.  The phone system actually grows with your business meaning the cost is low, and you only spend a small amount to expand at a time when you need to meaning its a great price to buy.

 

Can i use cordless phones with the system?

Yes you can have a standard cordless phone or fax connected to this system.

 

What smart IT features does this system have?

The system has built in security features such as firewalls and the ability for remote connections such as VPN connection endpoints for remote connections to the system.  Want to remotely access your computer network but dont want to spend thousands on a server?  The system will accomodate your remote connection from anywhere in the world to login to your network to work on files stored locally in your office.  The system also acts as a file server enabling file sharing via an external USB port where you can connect an external drive, ideal for your small office!

Need a wireless connection for your laptop?  This can be configured and setup on the SBG1000, and you thought it was just a phone system!

Not enough switch ports to connect that new printer?  Plug into into one of the 8 built in ports of the system to connect it to the network.

The system also boasts quality of service (Qos) for high level priority of voice traffic on the data network.

 

Is the system expandable as my small business grows?

The system can support up to 24 users.  This means you can start small and as your business grows you can start to add phones as required.  If you need more lines then increase the number of traditional lines or SIP/VOIP lines to accomodate more phone calls at one time.  Need digital cordless phones for the warehouse?  No problem, these can be easily added to the system and the warehouse called from a fixed phone at a touch of a button.

You can also add a gate release for something such as a video phone to the system.

 

Is it easy to use?

All LG products and systems have a similar "core" of programming and thought.  Why is this system so popular?  Its popular because it appeals to the public.  You dont have to be a brain surgeon to operate the system.  Want to transfer a call to the boss in his office?  Just press 1 button.  You dont need to press HOLD, you dont need to press TRANSFER, just press the button which says "boss".  The rest of use of this system follows a similar trend in ease of use.  On top of this we provide full training on all installs.
